G O S S I P

You have feasted on the vomit

of others

now debilitated and full
Ferociously…vehemently
You search for each debut

You’ve become an infocarnivore
Craving it raw to say the least
Relentless in your quest
Demanding I attend the feast

Well I don’t want to eat that anymore
I have had my lion’s share
Of every single hidden thing
Caught, trapped in your lair

With every update and revision
You fed my lust with skilled precision
I see you now with 20/20 night vision
Let me go! Respect my decision!

I want off this wicked carousel
With each drip of your lips
The speed excels
Faster that what I bargained for
Spinning around feigning for more

I have feasted on your vomit long enough!
Inhaling your exhaling with each puff
I’ll go through withdrawal but I must leave
Your fangs are protruding
Something’s up your sleeve!

“There she goes, don’t let Judas get away!!”
Screeched your claws
responding to “Sic ’em!!!
Shredding the snakeskin off my back
I collapse in pain
You’d captured your next victim

  1. Beautiful. Elegant. Subtle. Haunting. And sobering truth. Thank you sincerely for sharing this poem!! Spirit made sure it def reached one of its intended targets =)! Much love, Queen!
