How much of my secret do you get to keep?

How much of my secret?

How much of me?

I kept pouring out my heart

You and I both pretending

That you wanted to know

That our connection was ascending

Answering questions never asked

Giving you the darkest parts untold

History of damage, hurt, betrayal

Few made privy to the story’s unfold

How much of my secret do you get to keep?

Refusing all that’s been discarded

Refusing truth.

Refusing me.

    1. Hey Kitt! I thought about you yesterday, glad to hear from you!

Awesomeness on your comment, thank you for that! Its very encouraging to me as a writer to know that when I put my heart to pen and my pen to paper that what I felt is translating to the reader. So that no matter when it happened, it’s felt in real time. It’s honest writing.
